The Medical Board is designed to provide a detailed opinion and serve as a yard stick for measuring our performance and care standards, thereby ensuring the best practices are adhered to and monitored by experts.
Dr. PC Rath, has performed more than 20,000 Angiograms, 3,000 PTCA, 2,500 Coronary stentings, 75 cases of Percutaneous Trans Myocardial Laser Revascularization (PTMR), 500Valvuloplasty, 200 cases of peripheral, renal, carotid Interventions including ASD and PDA closure, 12 cases of Drug-eluting stent. Dr. Pratap Chandra Rath has also developed Mitral commissurotomy along with Prof. Alain Cribier and performed first 7 cases of mitral dilatation in the world using Metallic Commissurotomy
Dr. Vijay Dikshit is currently working as Chief Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon at Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Dr. Dikshit worked and trained in several reputed institutions including Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesotta. He has achieved a rare distinction of performing 20,000 cardiac surgeries, a feat achieved by few in the world. Dr. Dikshit, also holds a unique record of performing 362 consecutive coronary by pass surgeries without any mortality or serious complication.
Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine (Interventional Cardiology), Director of CCU and Inpatient Cardiology Services, Co-Chair Emergency Cardiac Care Committee and Chief Cardiology Consultant to UIC Solid Organ Transplant Program. He trained at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI and did his residency at Duke University, Durham, NC and fellowship at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. He has been awarded with the Clifford G. Pilz, MD House Staff Award and an Overseas Fellowship from the International Institute of the University of Michigan
